Presentation of The Shelley A. Marshall Short Story Award

On April 24th, at Hampden-Sydney College's Awards Ceremony, Richard Moncure received the Shelley A. Marshall Short Story Award and a check for $500, for his story "Beautiful Swimmers." The second and third place stories were:
--Live Decoys, by Ted Zimmerman
--They Skied Fast, by Ryan Blackwell
Sixteen students took part in the short story contest, which included a read-aloud night at Hampden-Sydney College's Parents and Friends Lounge on April 15th. Thanks to Dr. George Bagby for administering the contest at Hampden-Sydney.
