The Douglass School Awards Ceremony,

On June 5th, at The Douglass School's awards ceremony, Kim Graffius received the Shelley A. Marshall Short Story Award and a check for $250, for her story "No Longer Scared or Hurt." The second and third place stories were:
-- "9/11 A Teenager's Look at the Tragedy,"
by Kristin Cipriano
-- "Stand Tall," by Kimberly Smith
Sixteen students took part in the short story contest. Thanks to Mr. George Kitchen for administering the contest at The Douglass School.
