Presentation of The Shelley A. Marshall Short Story Award

Lackey High School Awards Ceremony,
Pisgah, Maryland


On June 11th, at Lackey High School's awards ceremony, David Buckler received the Shelley A. Marshall Short Story Award and a check for $250, for his story "The Irony of It All." The second and third place stories were:

-- "Time," by J.P. Dawson

-- "Companions," by Matt Landis

Fifteen students took part in the short story contest. Thanks to Ms. Simpson for administering the contest at Lackey High School.
