The Shelley A. Marshall Short Story Award
for Morgantown High School,
Morgantown, West Virginia

On May 17th, at The Garlow House, in Morgantown, West Virginia, Aleksandra Kraszpulska received the Shelley A. Marshall Creative Writing Award and a check for $250, for her story "A Crazy World." The second and third place stories were:

--"A Human Touch," by Jennifer Robinson

-- "My Angel," by Timothy Vetere (TIE)

-- "Piano Lessons," by Ashley Hamilton (TIE)

Twenty students took part in the short story contest, which included a read-aloud at the Morgantown Public Library's Garlow House on May 17th. Ms. Kraszpulska received her award at the close of the read-aloud. Thanks to Ms. Linda Taft for administering the contest at Morgantown High School..
